Mattie L. Leonard

Mattie L. Leonard, 87, of Los Angeles, Calif. formerly of La Grange died July 25, 2014. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Second Baptist Church. Mattie was born on March  16, 1927 in La Grange, the

daughter of Nealie and Elizabeth (Tutson) Washington. She married Eldie Leonard on October 23, 1976. She is survived by three daughters; Rubye Brooks of Los Angeles, Calif., Gladys Patterson of Dallas, and Irene Hardemann and husband, Eugene, of Austin; son, Roy Caldwell, of Austin; three sisters: Rachel Pendergrass, Sedalia Washington, and Elizabeth Fenix, all of La Grange; 15 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and 20 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eldie Leonard; three sons, three brothers, and three grandchildren.
