Estelle V. Janda

Estelle V. Janda, 96, died on July 29, 2014 in Santa Rosa, Calif. Estelle was born in Fayetteville on June 9, 1918. She had lived in San Jose, Calif. since 2000. She was known as Pat by all her friends. She was a life member of the SPJST Lodge 1 in Fayetteville and the daughter of Emil Zapalac who was a long time secretary of Lodge 1. She is survived by her son, Michael F. Janda and wife Nancy; grandons, Christopher M. Janda and Robert G. Janda; step-grandaughters, Cara Cassidy, AndreAnn Broglia, and Alycia Broglia; five greatgrandchildren; newphew Jerry Kubala and wife Margaret of

Fayetteville; sisters-in-law, Ann Wessels, Delores Prilop, Gertie Janda, Victoria Kolaja, and brothers-in-law, Leo Janda and Vit Janda; numerous nieces, nephews and god children. Estelle was preceded in death by her parents, Frances Baca Zapalac and Emil Zapalac; husband, George A. Janda; and son, Ronald G. Janda. Following a funeral Mass at Holy Ghost Church, Esetelle was laid to rest at Forest Park Cemetery in Houston on Aug. 8, 2014.
