Honoring History & Country

Representatives from the local VFW Post 5254 and Auxiliary were recently on hand for the signing by a trio of  proclamations by La Grange Mayor Janet Moerbe. Moerbe proclaimed Sept. 11 as Patriot Day in La Grange. In part, the proclamation urged locals to hold a moment of silence at 8:45 a.m. “in remembrance and to teach the youth that living in the United States of America gives freedom that other countries do not have.”
