Kirby Wilma (Edwards) Horne Kirby

Wilma (Edwards) Horne Kirby, 84, a longtime resident of Fayetteville died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014. Wilma was born in Austin on April 19, 1930, the daughter of William Arch Edwards and Velma (Crumlee) Edwards. Wilma attended Corpus
Christi High School, and worked for seven years as a packager at Blue Bell Ice Cream in Brenham. She served on the city council in Fayetteville for a number of years. Wilma enjoyed playing with her four legged “grandchild”, Harley, watching her Spurs and Cowboys, eating fried pickles and cooking for her family. She is survived by daughter, Charlene Bingham of Houston; four sons: James Horne and wife, Becky, of San Tan Valley, Ariz.; Bill Horne and wife, Debi, of Rockport; Richard
Horne and wife, Carolyn, of Hutto, and Kevin Horne of Houston; sister-in-law, Emma Edwards; ten grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren; brother, Jack Edwards and wife, Raye Edwards and sister, Hib McCollough. She was preceded in death by her parents; Pop and Velma Edwards; beloved husband of 36 years, Kenneth “Bo” Kirby; daughter, Karen; two brothers, Henry Edwards and Johnny Edwards; grandson Justin Horne; and first husband, Smiley Horne. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. as Wilma
