It’s Duck Season. No, Deer Season.

Jarrett Austin and Ben Schovajsa were out on the Colorado River Friday morning scouting for ducks before the season opened Saturday at daybreak. The La Grange locals thought they might see some teal or gadwall, but were disappointed – no ducks on the river that day. Deer season opened Saturday as well and, given the scarcity of feathered prey, Schovajsa said that come Saturday morning, “I’ll be in the deer blind.”
