Start Your Holiday Season With Monument Hill’s Trail of Lights

Monument Hill State Park opens its Trail of Lights annual extravaganza of light and sound on Saturday, December 6. New strings of lights and colorful displays will blaze the trail leading to the historic Kreische House and on to the Texas Heroes Monument. Even the trees are alive with bright lights, and the air is filled with the sounds of Christmas. The great stone mansion that Heinrich Kreische built in the 1850s will be resounding with the sounds of children as they seek out Santa and his promise of goodies. Cookies and popcorn will be served to all, along with punch, hot cider and hot chocolate.
