Louis Lee Niesner

Louis Lee Niesner, 95, of Muldoon died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2014 in a Halletsville medical center. Louis was born Jan. 7, 1919 in Muldoon to Agnes Mary Bubenk and Rudolph Niesner. Louis served his country during WWII in the US Army. He married Gladys Gebert on Aug. 11, 1940 in their home and they were married for over 74 years. He was a farmer, a maitenance man, and drove a school bus for  the Flatonia School System for 36 years. Louis loved gardening, hunting, farming, woodworking, and crafting. He is survived by his wife, Gladys of Freyburg; four sons,  Gene Niesner and his wife Margie of Austin, James Niesner of Freyburg, Dennis Niesner and his wife Cynthia of Houston and Billy Niesner of Freyburg. Louis was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Dinah Niesner; five sisters, Mary, Agnes, and Annie Niesner, Emily Gaston and Minnie Hansman; and three brothers, Rudolph, Charlie, and Joe Niesner. Visitation was held Friday, Dec. 26, 2014 from 6 until 9 p.m. at at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange.  Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014 in the Fayette Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. PhillipHefner officiated. Interment followed in the Freyburg Methodist Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Freyburg Methodist Church Cemetery, P.O. Box 43, Schulenburg, Texas 78956. Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange was in charge of arrangements
