Allen B. Cluck

Allen B. Cluck, 81, of Austin died Monday, Jan. 5, 2015. Allen was born in Grapevine n Aug. 17, 1933 the son of Elwood and Martha (Wall) Cluck. He was an alumnus of the Grapevine public schools, Baylor University, South Texas College of Law and the Harvard Business School AMP. Allen served two years of active duty in the U.S. Army during the post- Korean war period. His family lived in Houston for forty-three years where he practiced law in his small law firm and earlier worked in the oil and gas industry. His retirement years were enjoyed with his family and friends at his farm near Winchester and in Austin with his wife, children and grandchildren. He loved being at his farm and treasured his long-time friendships with close family friends in Winchester and folks he knew in La Grange and Fayette County. Allen is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bette Jo (Jordan) Cluck; two daughters: Catherine Susan Cluck; Christina Elizabeth Wilson and husband, John N. Wilson; grandson and best friend, Coble Thomas Wilson and his beautiful triplet granddaughters, Sydney Elizabeth Wilson, Catherine Grace Wilson and Jenna Paige Wilson; all of whom live in Austin. Also surviving him are his brother, Elwood Cluck; sisterin- law, Helen Cluck and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Charlie E. Cluck and William B. Cluck. A Christian memorial service was conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015 at Bannockburn Baptist Church, located at 7100 Brodie Lane in Austin.
