Doris Mae Heinecke

Doris Mae Heinecke, 87, of Clearwater, Fla. (formerly of La Grange, Texas), died at her home on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015. Doris was born in Round  Top on Oct. 17, 1927, the daughter of Henry and Martha (Gau) Fuchs. She married Marvin Heinecke on Sept. 28, 1947 in Carmine. Doris was a sales clerk at Fabric Center in La Grange and an Avon representative until her retirement. Her most cherished job was being a homemaker. She is survived by two sons: Allen Heinecke and wife, Kay of Ft. Worth, and Glenn Heinecke of La Grange; daughter, Karen Greer and husband, Ted  of Clearwater, Fla.; four grandchildren: Chris Heinecke and wife, Heather; Matthew Heinecke; Trey Greer; and Tiffany Boucher and husband, Tony; six great-grandchildren: Sienna, Casyn, Dylan and Montana Heinecke, Aiden Boucher, and Skylynn Greer; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin; brother, Elvis Fuchs; sister, Vernell Fuchs; and grandson, Nathan Greer. Visitation was held on Monday,  Jan. 19, 2015 fr om 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home. Family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran  Church, located at 110 W. Walnut in La Grange, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015. Burial will follow at La Grange City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may  be made to the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 110 W. Walnut, La Grange, Texas 78945 or a charity of one’s choice.
