Barbara Ann Smith

Barbara Ann Smith, 52, of Ledbetter, died on Friday, Feb. 13, 2015. Barbara was born on Dec. 27, 1962 in Liberty to  Adrian and Eva Laine (Coleman) Stanley. She was baptized at Bay City Church of Christ in 1978. Barbara and Jacob Richard “Jake” Smith married on Nov. 27, 2004 in Ledbetter. Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Adrian Stanley. Surviving family include her mother, Eva and husband, Ron Hughes of Ledbetter; husband, Jake Smith of Ledbetter; children, Travis Gunter, Jr. of Giddings and Chance Gunter of Austin; granddaughter, Paislee Renee Gunter and mother Brittney Schneider of Giddings; siblings, Lucille Stanley of Buffalo, Becky and husband, Russell Hofferek of Giddings, and Doug Stanley and wife, Kayla of Burton and numerous other extended family. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015 at the Ledbetter Cemetery in Ledbetter with Minister Darrell Parsons of the Giddings Church of Christ officiating.
