Dorothy Ann Stahmer

Funeral services for Dorothy Ann Stahmer, 83, of Enid, Okla. were held Thursday, Feb. 26 in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. The Rev. Susan Southall officiated. A private family burial followed in Rose Hill Cemetery, Okla. Dorothy was born Oct. 8, 1931 and died Sunday, Feb. 22. She was the only daughter of Ernest and Lydia Stahmer of Carrier. She attended the Oklahoma School for the Deaf in Sulphur, Okla. graduating in 1953. She worked as a linotypist for the Cherokee Messenger and Republican Newspaper. After she retired and moved back to the farm until 2000. Then she moved to Sterlinghouse Assisted Living where she resided the rest of her life. Her favorite pastimes were taking pictures and videos, watching the combines at wheat harvest, and playing board games. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by special cousins, Jimmy and Helen Geminden; special friends Billy and Marlene Bloss; other cousins in Oklahoma, La Grange and Houston.
