Pedal Thru The Pines, a cycling event benefiting Family Crisis Center, will take place on March 14. This year’s event will begin at 9 a.m. at Riverbend Park in Smithville and will feature various distance routes (24, 40, and 70 miles) traveling west on Highway 71 turning right onto FM 153 and continuing onto FM 2104, FM 2239, and FM 448 taking cyclist up Rocky Hill, past St. Mary’s Catholic Church, to Serbin, Northrup, Winchester and back to Riverbend Park.
