Cyclists Often Pass Through Fayette Co. on Coast-to-Coast Route

Bicyclists are attracted to Fayette County like bees to honey. The spandex-clad riders come mostly in clusters, from small club groups to huge annual migrations like the MS-150. But occasionally there is a solo rider on a long distance trip. FCR interviewed one fellow several years ago who was close to completing a round-the-world adventure. More often these loners are bound coast to coast, usually west to east. That’s because Fayette County is on what’s known as the Southern Tier Bicycle Route from San Diego, California to St. Augustine, Florida.
