Not Where You Want to Spend Your Evening

Emergency rooms are not places you want to be extra familiar with. As a child I spent a lot of time in and out of emergency rooms. Some of those visits were pleasant (as pleasant as an ER visit can be.) The doctors and nurses took care of the problem (I wasn’t breathing) and I left feeling much better. Other times, well, not so much. Once, I arrived to find NO ONE in the emergency room. My dad had to walk down the hall and find a custodian to tell us where the medical personnel were hiding.
