Johnny Blaise Kollaja
Johnny Blaise Kollaja, 63, went to be with the Lord in the early morning of May 8, 2015. He was a beloved husband, loving father, loyal son and brother and best of all “pop”. Johnny was born in La Grange, a small town near Austin,and is preceded in death by his father, Leon A. Kollaja and by his brother Leon F. Kollaja. Johnny leaves his lasting legacy to his loving wife of 37 years Shelley Kollaja, daughter Jaclyn Kollaja, son and daughter-inlaw Keith and Megan Kollaja and his little princess, granddaughter Emily Kollaja, who all reside in Montgomery. Survivors include his mother Bernice Kollaja, brother Daniel Kollaja and his wife Nancy, nephew Philip Kollaja and his wife Krystal, niece Christaand Ross Denham and nephew Eric Kollaja all of West Point and niece Nora Winter of Conroe. He will be remembered by many great nieces and nephews, Jamie, Lexie, Cambree, Raelee, Ace, Kaidence, Kali, Kinsley and Reece. Johnny continuously brought smiles and laughs with his jokes to all he encountered. He always had a smile on his face and found the good in everyone. Family served as the center of his life. Johnny’s passions included barbequing, fishing and working on old cars. Johnny shared a special bond with his furry friends, Kit, Lewis, and Baxter. He began his career as a mechanic in the Austin and Houston areas, retiring after 20 years as a service manager for Jimmy Copeland Chrysler in Tomball. Services were held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Plantersville on May 13, 2015 with interment at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Plum. You may leave written condolences at www.shmfh.com.
