Judy Kaye (Ivie) Cook

Judy Kaye (Ivie) Cook, 64, of La Grange, lost her battle with cancer on Sunday, May 10,
2015 at home surrounded by family and friends. Judy was born in Brownwood on June 6, 1950, the daughter of Dale and Jean (Nichols) Ivie. She married Henry Cook in 1966 in Brownwood.
Judy worked in the banking industry in La Grange for a number of years. After she retired from banking, she volunteered for the La Grange Chamber of Commerce giving tours of La Grange. She enjoyed entertaining and being around friends and family. Her grandchildren were her world. She is survived by her husband, Henry Cook; son, Jason Cook of Round Rock; daughter, Catrina Gernand of Bastrop; brother, Louis Ivie of Abilene; sister, Linda Johnson of Fort Worth; five grandchildren: first born grandson, Tyler Cook, 23, enlisted in the US Army and is stationed in South Korea; first born granddaughter, Jessica Gernand, 9; John Gernand, 2, both of Bastrop; Katrina Perkins, 15; Shawn Perkins, 12, both of Round Rock; and numerous extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jean (Nichols) Ivie. The family will have a celebration of Judy’s life at her residence on May 23, 2015.
