John Cecil Johnson

John Cecil Johnson, 93, of La Grange, died Friday, May 29, 2015. John was born in Moody on May 18, 1922, the son of John Alonzo Johnson and Effie Arella (King) Johnson. John served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1946. He was honorably discharged as a SSG in 1946. He worked as a Precision Instrument Designer at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston. He is survived by wife, Mary Jane (Scott) Johnson; two brothers: Willis Howard Johnson and wife, Barbara, and Cloyce Johnson and wife, Hazel, all of Iola; sister, Helen Pope of Temple; brother-in-law, Ted Scott and wife, Betty, of Florida; and numerous extended family. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2015 beginning at 1 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home in La Grange.
Burial will follow at La Grange City Cemetery. Koenig & Srickland Funeral Home in La Grange was in charge of arrangements.
