Ryan Keith Bage, 25, of Weimar, died Friday, May 29, 2015. Ryan was born in Houston on Aug. 2, 1989, the son of Brian and Sharon (Dittrich) Bage. Ryan attended the University of Texas as a music major and math minor. He played the alto sax and numerous other instruments; and was the recipient of the John Philip Sousa Award in High School. Ryan spent his time on the
family farm caring for the animals, especially his two rescue horses. His fondest memories were the summers at Rocky River Ranch Camp spent as a counselor working with horses in Wimberley. His pride and joy was his dog, Skyelar. Ryan was a caregiver to his grandmother
in the nursing home. He had a keen sense of humor and a sharp wit. He is survived by his
mother, Sharon Bage, of La Grange; grandparents: Carolyn and Leroy Bennetsen of La Grange; and grandmother, Gladys Dittrich of Schulenburg; uncle and aunts: Gregory Bage and wife, Teresa, of Bastrop; Mark Bage and wife, Sheila, of La Grange; Tory Bennetsen and wife, Bonnie, of Juneau, Alaska; Baron Bennetsen of College Station; Bamba Scott and husband, David, of Portland, Texas; and cousins: Jordan Mundine, Blake Mundine, Peyton Scott, Garrison Bage, Grayson Bage, Tayten Bennetsen and Jesper Bennetsen; and numerous great
uncles and great aunts. He was preceded in death by his father, Brian Keith Bage; and grandfathers, Milton E. Bage and Clarence F. Dittrich. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 2:30 to 8 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home. Family will receive
friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in La Grange at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2015. Burial will follow at La Grange
City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, P.O. Box 4486, Houston, Texas 77210 (www.mdanderson.org); Gardenia E.
