Round Top Residents React to News That Their New Neighbor is Running for President

Former Texas Governor Rick Perry announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination for President of the United States Thursday. The long-expected announcement lacked the element of surprise – Perry has been campaigning hard in early primary states – but it did set off speculation in Round Top, near where Perry and his wife, Anita have built a large home, of what Perry’s nomination or election might mean for the village of 90 people on the banks of Cummins Creek.
