Jerry B. Prilop

Jerry B. Prilop, 80 of Manchaca, died at home on Saturday, June 27, 2015. Jerry was born in 1935 in Fayette County and graduated La Grange High School in 1952. He attended Nixon Clay Business College while working. He spent time as a United States Marine Corps Reservist and was a fireman with the Austin Fire Department for 14 years before going into business for himself as a paint contractor. He was a member of St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church for 59 years, and a 76 year member of the KJT, Catholic Union of Texas. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Ann and his eight children Kim Williamson (Denny), Penny Stevens (John), Steve Prilop, James Prilop, Jill Snyder (Chuck), Tracy Briggs (Marc), John Prilop and Millie Jones (Jeremy), 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Mary Prilop, his brother George and sister Lucille. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Onion Creek Memorial Park.
