Leroy E. Leonhardt

Leroy E. Leonhardt, 82, of Texas City, died July 1, 2015 at Cornerstone Hospital in Webster.
He was born Oct. 15, 1932 in Round Top. He graduated from Texas City High School in 1951. He was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church in Texas City. He entered the US Army in 1953 and was honorably discharged in 1961. Leroy was employed at Gene Hamon Ford in Texas City and retired from McFree Ford in 1997. His entire career was in automotive repair and obtained his Ford Master Mechanic Certification. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jacob H. and Loraine Leonhardt. He is survived by his second wife, Margaret McMichael Leonhardt; mother of his children, Bonnie Brizendine; sons: Larry (Lynn) Leonhardt, Mark (Carleen) Leonhardt; daughters: Debra (Larry) Brizendine, Faye Leonhardt; brothers: Gene (Verna) Leonhardt of Huntsville; grandchildren: Angela Morales, Lee Leonhardt, Justin Brizendine, Courtney Bowman and Austin Leonhardt. Funeral services were hed on Monday, July 6 at 5 p.m. in Texas City. Rev. Wayne Clements of Memorial Lutheran Church officiated. Burial was held July 7, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at Forest Park East in Webster. Special thanks to Claude Wray, the Texas City Fire Department, Mainland Medical Center & Cornerstone Hospital Clear Lake for their special care.
