2016 County Budget Plan: Taxes Down, Salaries Up

Fayette County Commissioners Court came close to finalizing the 2016 county budget at their meeting on Monday, July 20. Commissioners have not yet officially set the property tax rate for next year, but County Judge Ed Janecka said on Monday that he and the commissioners were basing their budget figures on the effective tax rate, which would bring the county the same amount of revenue as last year.
