Governor Abbott, Who Are You Representing?

Governor Abbott, what are you thinking? I try not to be overly political. I have some strong political opinions, but I don’t always feel the need to let everyone know about them. Recently, however, some things have occurred that I just can’t let go. The first thing I take issue with is his appointment of Donna Bahorich as the Chair of the State Board of Education. I read her bio on Governor Abbott’s official website. I see nothing in it that makes her worthy of even being on the Board, let alone appointed the chair of it. Her background is business and finance, which qualifies her to do many things in the business world, but she knows nothing of how or why things happen in the public schools.
