Hlozek

Geraldine Daisy (Pustka) Hlozek, 91, of Houston (formerly of La Grange), died Tuesday, July 28, 2015. Geraldine was born in Yoakum on Jan. 8, 1924, the daughter of Rudolph and Matilda (Hluchan) Pustka. She married William “Bill” Hlozek on Aug. 26, 1941 in East Bernard. Geraldine enjoyed gardening, sewing, and cooking. She is survived by two sons: William “Bill” J. Hlozek and wife, Carolyn, of Cypress and John Hlozek and wife, Carole, of Cypress; four daughters: Barbara Fletcher of Houston, Patricia Peters of Fulshear, Jeannie Angeli of Houston, and Marie Worth and husband, David, of Cypress; sister, Joyce Horelica of Rosenberg; brother, Johnnie Pustka of Richmond; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill; three brothers; one sister and two grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 from 2 to 7 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home in La Grange. Family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 936 FM 2436 in Hostyn, at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2015. Burial followed at Hostyn Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Czech Heritage Society, P.O.
