Muzny

Laura E. (Schneider) Muzny, 87, of Houston (formerly of Fayetteville), died Sunday, July 26, 2015. Laura was born in Fayetteville on Nov. 29, 1927, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Schmidt) Schneider. She married Elo J. Muzny on Nov. 9, 1944 in Houston. Laura retired after 23 years from Coco-Cola Bottling Company. She was a very loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by two sons: Donald Muzny of Kyle and Kenneth Muzny and wife, Kristie, of Spring; two daughters: Debra Fults and Shirley Young, both of Houston; sister, Gladys Tobias of Houston; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elo Muzny; and three sisters: Lena Smidovec, Leona Muzny and Elizabeth Hollan. Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home in La Grange. Family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ellinger at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Burial followed at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 841125, Dallas, Texas 75284-1125.
