Helen R. Johnson

Helen R. Johnson of West Point died Aug. 19, 2015. She was born in Broson, Texas, the daughter of Ora and Jesse Morgan. Helen attended the Colorado River Cowboy Church.  She served as a Registered Nurse during WWII and continued working as a nurse for the Army at Brooks Military Hospital in  San Antonio. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Milton Johnson, and her son Carroll Johnson.  She is survived by two sons, Pete and Butch, and her daughter Sydna, and her best friend Mary Jo Brown, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A “Celebration of Life” ceremony,  by the time of this publication, will have been held in her honor on Aug. 21, 2015 at a place where she enjoyed many hours being with all her friends.  She was loved by many, be missed by many more, and remembered by all that ever met and knew her.
