Schulenburg Council Approves Tax Increase

The Schulenburg City Council voted to raise the property tax a quarter of one cent, to $0.175 per $100 of property value. That represents a 3.9 percent increase. At that rate, Schulenburg’s property tax remains the lowest among the cities of Fayette County, except for the smaller communities of Round Top and Carmine.
