Joe F. Stall
Joe F. Stall, Jr., 80, of La Grange, died Friday, Oct. 16, 2015 at Care Inn of La Grange. Joe was born in Weimar on April 5, 1935, the son of Joe F. Stall, Sr. and Agnes (Herzik) Stall. He married Evelyn Urbanovsky on Aug. 12, 1956 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Schulenburg. Joe worked for Brasher- Gunn Motor Company as an auto technician for 39 years. He enjoyed working in his flower garden. He loved his cats which were his constant companions. His greatest pleasure was eating Hershey’s Kisses. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn, of 59 years; sister-in-law, Loraine Sternadel, of La Grange; special nieces and nephews: Lana Limmer; Kim Sternadel and special friend, Sue Schoenst; and Luke Sternadel and wife, Audrey, all of Waldeck; numerous other nieces; nephew; sister-in-law, great niece and four great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Frank Stall; brother-in-law, Merle Sternadel; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Adolph and Frances Urbanovsky. Visitation was held on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015 from 2 to 6:30 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home. Family received friends from 5 to 6:30 p.m. A rosary was recited at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services were held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, located at 539 E. Pearl St. in La Grange, at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 19, 2015. Burial followed in the La Grange City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter, 240 Svoboda Lane, La Grange, Texas 78945 or a charity of one’s choice. Family and friends can view and sign the guestbook online at www.lagrangefunerals.com.
