Hackebeil

Elmer Lee Hackebeil, III, 47, of La Grange, died Monday, Oct. 19, 2015.  Lee was born in Austin on July 1, 1968, the son of Elmer Lee Hackebeil, Jr. and Sandra Jean (Ulrich) Hackebeil.  He married Kimmie Ryman on May 19, 2012 in La Grange.  Lee was a self-employed entrepreneur mechanic with a passion for hunting, fishing, NHRA racing and a true love for his dogs, Bennie, Sugar, and Princess.  He is survived by his wife, Kimmie Hackebeil, of La Grange; mother, Sandra Hackebeil, of San Antonio; sister, Brandy Hackebeil, of La Grange; step-daughter, Dawn Sexton and husband, Aaron, of Washington County; aunt, Kitty O’Brien, of Irving; brother-in-law, David H. Chavec of Humble; step granddaughter, Ava Olivia Sexton; grandparents, Art and Delma Ulrich of Austin; three cousins: Bruce Burnett and wife, Rebecca, of Bryan; Joe Burnett and wife, Michelle, of Salado; and Wendy Favors of Ft. Worth; and numerous other cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Lee Hackebeil, Jr.; grandparents, Elmer Lee Hackebeil, Sr. and Gertrude (Koch) Hackebeil. Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 23, 2015 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015. Private burial will follow at La Grange City Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gardenia E.
