Boat Ramp Damaged by Flood Waters

The swirling, muddy flood waters of the Colorado River at the end of October and first few days of November submerged the landing and boat ramp just below the Business 71 bridge in La Grange for several days. When the water dropped, it was revealed that a large sycamore tree on the east bank next to the ramp had been toppled, and more importantly, the concrete upstream driveway to the landing and ramp had collapsed after having been undercut by the flood waters. That side of the semicircular driveway to the ramp is now closed off with yellow tape and orange cones.
