Leps Stay Perfect, Edging Regents by Three

The Leps were cold early. Austin Regents got hot late. But after a thrilling home opener for the La Grange boys basketball team Tuesday that was unique in so many ways, the Leps hung on for a 54-51 victory that keeps them perfect in the young season. A potential game-tying shot just missed the mark at the buzzer and La Grange improved to 3-0 on a night when the officials called a whopping 50 fouls, and two players from each team fouled out.
