Hats Off to the Hitching Post

Donnie Dittrich stood over a steam-bellowing contraption inside the Hitching Post in Schulenburg last week, gently applying moisture and heat to a felt cowboy hat. “I guess I was about 14 or 15 years old when I started,” Dittrich said. “My dad showed me how.”
