Mason Bednar
Please join us in a Celebration of Life for Mason Bednar, 26, who lived in Colorado Springs and passed away Oct. 24, 2015 at Memorial Hospital after suffering head injuries from a auto accident. He was born in La Grange on Aug. 12, 1989. He graduated from Fayetteville High School and entered the service shortly after. Mason was so full of life, and loved by so many. He was an extremely bright and creative young man. An inventor at heart. Mason served eight years in the army with multiple tours in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Kuwait. After completing his service this year he was studying engineering while working as a electrical mechanic for Auto Truck. He put his passion to use for two off-road racing teams. He was a mechanic for Lucky Dog Racing and then a mechanic and codriver for MADD Motorsports. He was preceded in death by his father Craig T. Bednar of La Grange. Survivors include his mother, Stephanie Shroyer of Schulenburg; two half siblings, Robin Tungent of Bastrop, and Jordan Bednar of Austin. He had many aunts, uncles, and cousins who all loved him very much. The celebration of his life will take place at the VFW Hall in La Grange on Dec. 13 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a gofundme campaign has been started to complete his Toyota FJ40 project. Once completed it will be used for seat belt safety awareness. You can make a donation and find more details at www.gofundme.com/FJ4seatbeltaware.
