Aaron McGlaun
Funeral services for Aaron McGlaun, 33, of Early and formerly of Lexington, were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giddings with Rev. Robert Tiner officiating. Burial followed in the Giddings City Cemetery. Aaron Dwayne McGlaun was born on Oct. 9, 1982 in Brenham to William McGlaun III and Carol (Keng) McGlaun. He had worked as a heavy equipment operator with Newman & Keng Paving and Austin Bridge and Road. On January 27, 2003, Aaron was involved in a motorcycle accident and suffered life threatening injuries that would forever change his life as well as the lives of his family. He wasn’t expected to live in the days following the accident and was never given more than 10 years of life expectancy. However, with Aaron’s strong-willed nature and determination, along with the support and care of his family, he beat the odds. Aaron passed away unexpectedly the evening of Friday, Jan. 22, 2016 at his home in Early with his parents by his side. Aaron is survived by his parents, Billy and Carol McGlaun of Early; his brother and sisterin- law, Willie and Melinda McGlaun of Buda; his nephew, Colton McGlaun of Buda as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Memorials may be made to the Lee County Youth Center in Giddings or to the charity of one’s choice. Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings.
