Just a Small Piece of Cake

Ash Wednesday. The day in the Christian church which marks the first day of Lent. In my early years, I had very little knowledge of Ash Wednesday – not because I did not attend church, but because I did not attend (or have any friends who attended) a Catholic church. Well, that is, until we moved to La Grange.
