Local Man Eats Mushrooms, Takes Off Clothes, Gets Tazed

At 8:06 p.m. Tuesday, officers from the La Grange Police Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety were forced to pepper spray, and taze (twice) a naked man who was walking around and being disruptive on the 300 block of W. Milam St.

Officers responded to a call and found the man in the front yard of a residence naked.

The man, a 25-year-old La Grange resident, would not follow officers’ instructions and became combative.

It was then that the officers used pepper spray and taser guns on him.

He was transported to St. Mark’s Medical Center by Fayette County EMS. After being released he was arrested on charges of public intoxication and resisting arrest.

At one point the man informed officers of a wild scheme  he had to travel to the moon.

The man admitted to officers that he had ingested mushrooms.
