Firework Sales Approved for Memorial Day

By ANDY BEHLEN  Fayette County residents will get to buy fireworks for Memorial Day weekend this year. Texans have long been able to buy fireworks ahead of Christmas, New Year’s Day and Fourth of July. Last year, the Texas Legislature passed a bill giving counties the option to allow fireworks sales in the days leading up to three more holidays: Texas Independence Day, San Jacinto Day and Memorial Day.
