Claudette Elsie (Thompson) Miller, 72, Muldoon, died peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 24, 2016 surrounded by her family. Claudette was born in Floresville on Sept. 6, 1943, the daughter of Rex Benjamin Thompson and Amanda Frieda Matilda (Blohm) Thompson. She was a lifelong loving housewife and was a member of the Lutheran Church. She enjoyed flower gardening, cooking, traveling, but most of all her five grandchildren. One of the greatest thrills in life was a trip to Hawaii with her grandchildren. She dearly loved her five grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Fred Miller Sr., of Muldoon; one son, Fred Miller Jr. and wife Tricia, of McKinney; two daughters, Elsie (Miller) Gibson and husband Bill, of Mont Belvieu and Renee (Miller) Mezzell and husband Tim, of Mont Belvieu; five grandchildren, Jordan Gibson of Mont Belvieu, Tyler Mezzell of Mont Belvieu, Micahel Miller of McKinney, Garrett Gibson of Mont Belvieu, and Landry Mezzell of Mont Belvieu and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by four brothers and one sister; Billy Thompson and wife Diana of Hondo, Karl Thompson and wife Lavada of Floresville, Neil Thompson and wife Brenda of Moulton, Joni Ries and husband Freddie of San Antonio, and Rex Thompson Jr. and wife Linda of Seguin. A Celebration of Life was held at the Leaning Oak Ranch in Muldoon on Saturday, June 4, 2016. It was Claudette’s desire to be cremated with no funeral. Her ashes will be disposed per her wishes. Claudette was a beautiful woman, both inside and out. She loved her God. We loved her with all our hearts.
