Aurleen (Keilers) Kaspar, 79, of Oldenburg, died on Sunday, June 12, 2016. Aurleen was born in Oldenburg on Oct. 3, 1936, the daughter of Otto and Lillie (Busch) Keilers. She married John F. Kaspar on Jan. 17, 1954 in Fayetteville. Aurleen worked in food preparation at La Grange Independent School District. She was a life-long member of Hermann Sons. She was active at her church, served as a church usher and was a member of the parish council. Aurleen’s hobbies included gardening, making quilts and baking homemade bread. Her most beloved enjoyment was spending time with her big family. She is survived by daughter, Patricia Wubbenhorst and husband, Roger, of Dime Box; five sons: Jeffrey Kaspar and wife, Melissa, of Brady; Richard Kaspar and wife, Dorothy, of La Grange; David Kaspar and wife, Susan, of La Grange; Gregory Kaspar and wife, Lisa, of Industry; Paul Kaspar and wife, Jackie, of Bedford; brother, Alois Keilers and wife, Karen, of Houston; sister, Alice Schmitt and husband, Earl, of Fayetteville; eleven grandchildren: Jason Kaspar and wife, Allison; Ryan Wubbenhorst and wife, Brittney; Jared Kaspar and wife Ashley; Dean Kaspar and wife, Courtney; Amanda Chewning; Dayna Kaspar, Lilly Kaspar; John Kaspar; Jodie Kaspar; Joshua Kaspar; and Jenna Kaspar; eleven great grandchildren; brothers-in law and sisters-in-law: Elizabeth Muske; Wilfred Machinsky; Annie Mae Sodolak; Leonard Kaspar and wife, Lois; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; parents-in-law, Joe and Sophie (Chovanec) Kaspar; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Sydonia Kaspar Keilers, Albina Kaspar Rabel, Joe Rabel, Mary Kaspar Machinsky, Josephine Kaspar Noska, Leo Noska, Burney Muske and Leonard Sodolak. Pallbearers were the grandchildren listed above. Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home. Family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A prayer service followed at 7 p.m. Funeral services were held at St. John’s Lutheran Church (Warrenton) at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2016. Burial followed at La Grange City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church (Warrenton), 4446 S.
