Annie (Huebel) Creppon, 95, of La Grange, died Saturday, June 18, 2016. Annie was born in the Halsted Community, in Fayette County, on Nov. 19, 1920, the daughter of Robert and Ida (Karstedt) Huebel. She was baptized on May 29, 1921 by George Buberich at Sacred Heart Church in La Grange and confirmed on Feb. 10, 1952 by Henry A. Traugott at Zion Lutheran Church in La Grange. Annie married Robert Creppon on Oct. 30, 1944 in La Grange. She is survived by her loving caregivers: nephew, Dean Niesner and wife, Kim; and great niece, Laurie Quitta, all of La Grange; also several generations of nieces and nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert, who died Nov. 14, 2010; her seven brothers and sisters and their spouses; which included special sister-in-laws, Albina Huebel and Elsie Huebel; as well as Robert’s sisters and their spouses. Visitation was held on Monday, June 20, 2016 from 12 to 8 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home. Family received friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home, at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 with Pastor Candis O’Meara officiating. Burial will follow at La Grange City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley, 1048 N.
