Ardell “Buddy” Daris Muske, 85, husband of Nadine Muske, died June 22, 2016 in Brenham. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 25, 2016 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, with Pastor Phil Fenton officiating. Visitation was from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Ardell Muske was born Dec. 7, 1930 in Warrenton to Harry and Lucy Drawe Muske. He was baptized June 7, 1930, and later confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Warrenton. He completed high school and served eight years in the U. S. Army Reserves. On Dec. 7, 1952, he married Nadine Mueller at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Carmine. Mr. Muske was employed as an upholstery foreman for Maddox Furniture Mfg. from 1956 until 1988. He most recently worked part-time at M.I.C. He was an avid sportsman and hunter for more than 50 years, most of this time being spent in the outdoors with his son and grandson. He treasured time spent with his family, especially spoiling his grandkids. Traveling and vacation with his wife were also favorite pastimes. They enjoyed trips to Branson, Fredericksburg, and the Hill Country. A member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church since 1956, he served on the church council and on the ushering team. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Nadine Muske of Brenham; son and daughter-in-law Bradley and Shana Muske of Burton; daughter and son-in-law, Marisa and David Lopez, Jr. of Highland Village; grandchildren: Cody Muske and wife Samantha, Kaylena Lopez, and Nicole Lopez. He was preceded in death by one brother. Serving as pallbearers were Darrell Kieke, Bob Lehmann, Doyle Reeves, Brad Eilers, Mickey Hueske, and Dean Kwiatkowski. Honorary pallbearers were Larry Muske, Gaylon Mueller, Gary Mueller, Larry Boriack, Chris Lancon, Willie Mae Lueckemeyer, Otto and Doris Wehring, and Elgene and Jean Schulle.Memorials may be directed to St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hospice Brazos Valley, or to any favorite charity.
