State Title Coach Leaving LGISD

By JEFF WICK  Just over a month after he led the La Grange softball team to its second state title in the last three years, head coach Arthur Behrend resigned from La Grange ISD Thursday.

“I’ve resigned. This feels right,” Behrend said. “I appreciate all the success and all the support I had here.”

Behrend told the Record that he has been offered the head  softball coaching job in Giddings pending school board approval there.
