Child Dies in 4-Wheeler Accident

An Ammannsville boy died in a four wheeler accident Wednesday afternoon. According to a report from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened in a creek near Lidiak Road north of Ammannsville, near East Radhost School Road.

Fayette County EMS, Schulenburg Volunteer Fire Department, Deputy Rick Bohlmann and Investigator Angela Lala of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office reported to the scene. EMS transported nine-year-old Caleb Heger to St. Mark’s Medical Center La Grange, where he died.

Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home in Schulenburg is in charge of arrangements but no details on services had been finalized at press time.
