Meat Market Burglars Caught With Safe in the Back Seat
Fayette County Sheriff’s deputies and Schulenburg Police arrested three suspects who they believe stole a safe from Willie Joe’s Processing in High Hill on Monday night, Sept. 19.
The suspects, 24-year-old Gerrod Butler, 23-year-old Karl Jarmon Jr., and 22-year-old Javier Esquivel, all of Schulenburg were arrested for burglary of a building on Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 20.
The meat market’s safe contained thousands of dollars in cash and checks, according to business owner Paddy Magliolo.
Magliolo discovered a broken window at the business when he arrived to work Tuesday morning. Inside his office, he said someone had apparently pried his drop-box safe from the wall with crow bars.
