Bennie Emil Pfeiffer, 98, of West Point, died on Sept. 30, 2016, in Care Inn of La Grange. Funeral services were held on Monday, Oct. 3, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel with Pastor John David Nedbalek officiating. Interment followed in the Shelby Cemetery. Visitation with the family was held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Bennie Pfeiffer was born on July 30, 1918 to Hermann Karl Pfeiffer Jr. and Alwine Dunkel Pfeiffer in Shelby. On Nov. 2, 1940 Bennie married Bertha Merkel. Bennie was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Round Top and life long member of Harmony Hall in Shelby. Bennie loved to play a good game of dominos. Survivors include his sonand daughter-in-law, Odis H. Pfeiffer and wife Peggy; grandsons, Odis Pfeiffer II and wifeStacie, Steven Pfeiffer and wife Ronda; granddaughter, Angelina Patrick and husband Rick; great-grandchildren, Brady Pfeiffer, Tyler Pfeiffer, Calen Pfeiffer, Dylan Partin, and Mariah Patrick; and greatgreat- granddaughter, Karlie Partin.Bennie was preceded indeath by his parents, brothers, Charlie Pfeiffer and wife Elsie, George Pfeiffer and wife Edith, Bruno Pfeiffer and wife Thelka, Alex Pfeiffer and wife Mamie and sister, Ranie Mertz and husband Alfred and son, Bennie Pfeiffer, Jr. Pallbearers include; Odis Pfeiffer II, Steven Pfeiffer, Dylan Partin, Hubert Bednaz, Sue Pfeiffer Burk, and Jeanette Schoenst.
