Three-Year-Old Dies After Being Hit by Vehicle

A three-year-old boy died tragically Sunday afternoon, October 2, after getting hit by a vehicle at his grandparents’ home at the western edge of Fayette County.

Chief Deputy Randy Noviskie of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office said investigators ruled the death an accident.

Noviskie said the accident happened at a residence on Harold Road. The boy’s parents and grandparents live on the same property, Noviskie said. The parents had taken the child to the grandparents’ house in their vehicle. The child somehow got out of the car seat and exited the vehicle without the parents knowing.
