Two Schulenburg Men Die on Hwy. 77

Two Schulenburg men died in a traffic accident on US 77 south of Schulenburg on Sunday afternoon, October 2. The accident happened in Lavaca County at the intersection of US 77 and FM 532, the road to Oakland.

Donald Ray “Worm” Jackson, Jr., 39, and Manuel Terry III, 48, both of Schulenburg, were killed when the vehicle they were in crashed into an 18-wheeler. The accident happened shortly after 6 p.m.

According to a crash report from DPS Trooper Oscar Garcia, Jr., Jackson was driving a green 2006 Cadillac four-door CTS west on FM 532. Terry was the only passenger in the car.
