Schulenburg Council to Reconsider Appointment

Schulenburg Mayor Roger Moellenberndt called a special meeting of the Schulenburg City Council, to be held on Tuesday, October 11 at 6 p.m.

The agenda lists only one item: “Schulenburg City Council will discuss and reconsider the action taken on Monday, October 3, 2016, to fill the vacant seat created by the departure of Alderman Place 2.”

The Council voted 3-1 last Monday to appoint former council woman Brenda Rehak to the empty seat. She was defeated in May by councilman Harvey Hercik, who voted against the appointment. Hercik submitted a letter of resignation after the council meeting over the appointment.
