Student Disciplined Over Creepy Clown Post Online

A Schulenburg ISD student is facing disciplinary action after posting a message on social media referencing the creepy clown phenomenon.

The incident is related to a social media “meme” about stereotypical Texans shooting any creepy clowns they may come across. Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek said the student posted an Instagram message suggesting that someone shoot school principals  instead of the clowns. Brenek said the message was not directed toward any specific school employee. Brenek said school officials saw the post and called for a meeting with the student and the student’s parents. He said Schulenburg I.S.D. would be disciplining the student. The school notified police as a precaution, Brenek said.
