Remember When?

Oct. 25-28, 1966 Bethlehem Lutheran Church at Round Top planned to mark its centennial with a three-day celebration. On Thurs. evening, Oct. 27, the Rev. Nelson Klar of Rutersville, a son of the Bethlehem congregation, was to preach on the theme “Our God is Marching On in a Loving Church.” The service of Holy Communion was for members and former members. A centennial memorial service was set for the evening of Sat., Oct. 29, with another son of the congregation, Dr. A.H. Wiederaenders of the Texas Lutheran College faculty in Seguin, in the pulpit. Prior to the service, there was to be a chicken stew supper sponsored by the church’s cemetery committee at the Round Top Rifle Association hall.
